Addressing the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament, the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on May 5, the government's policy and program for the next financial year, presented by President Ramchandra Paudel, had already been passed by the National Assembly. The policy and program was passed by the majority in the meeting of the National Assembly on 9th May.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal answered the questions raised by the MPs during the discussion in the House of Representatives on Saturday. The Prime Minister asked all MPs to stand unanimously in favor of policies and programs. The MPs then asked the Prime Minister for an explanation. After the prime minister answered the questions raised during the explanation, the amendment proposals registered in the policy and program were submitted for decision.
The ruling parties Congress, Maoist, Jaspa, United Socialist Party, and other political parties withdrew their amendments, while the main opposition UML, National Independent Party, RPP and other political parties did not withdraw their amendments, and the majority rejected them.
